The Sprung's Stunner Chalice is a coral of the Echinopora family.  The name Sprung's Stunner is the common trade name for this coral.  There are a few variations of this coral type that vary in color pattern, color intensity, and are known by different trade names.  This is a fast growing hard stony coral that grows in a large bowl shape.    The large chalice in the Bridge Tender reef was born as a 1 inch fragment from a donor parent coral in November 2018.  The parent was an unknown age and unknown generation of aquacultured coral.  There are four chalice corals in the reef can you find them all?
